My first Birthday pressie arrived in the post the other day, gift from my beloved, mighty fine huh. I adore the colour and the shape, my beloved has impeccable taste, always has done where I'm concerned. Made in Florence, Italy by Filippo Catarzi.

As promised a couple holiday outfits for my much anticipated and longed for holiday to Noosa in Queensland. This will be our first family holiday since my little bub was born so as you can imagine I'm kinda excited!  It's always a bit daunting to get the summer togs out; will they still fit? Does my ass look big in these? Winter has taken it toll and I've piled on a few kilos but lots of walks on the beach and plenty of seafood should sort me out. I'm not a diet person, I'd rather work my ass off; like my food too much and winter is such a good time for home baking. So back to the clothes, this dress has not been out for a while and will be perfect for dinner out and I had almost forgot about these trousers, my beloved bought them for me from Lush a few years ago, perfect for day. Part 2 to come, stay tuned!

Dress: Sasha Drake
Bracelets: Gift

Trousers: Lush
Top: Cue sample
Scarf worn as belt: Mimco
Sandles: Nine West
Hat: $20 from a pharmacy

Mother's Day goodies

Yesterday was Mother's Day for all us Aussie mums. I got spoiled: home-made card (the best kind), pressie's, cake, brekky and a much needed lie in. I love my new beret (goes fabulously with the new fur) and tights, always a winner!
I love being a mum, my little boy is my biggest laugh. Motherhood is rewarding, challenging and nerve racking all at the same time but I wouldn't have it any other way.
A stranger asked me the other day "How did you get a blond baby!", ...a tad strange and a tiny bit rude I thought; I mean I know I have black hair (albeit a little enhanced) but did she think I got him off e-bay!... but if you are wondering, my husband was exactly the same as a nipper. Anyways, to all you mum's out there, your doing a grand job and a belated Happy Mother's Day to you all!

Red Cross Bargain

I found this hat at the new refurbished Red Cross store on Glenhuntly rd, Elsternwick. A bargain at $15, and all for a good cause too. They recycle new and used items that many of us seem to store or unlove. Definitely worth checking out, I nearly picked up the cutest little boned tartan dress but if you need to squeeze and take a deep breath to get into it - probably best to walk away, even if it was only $18. They also had a great selection of bags and accessories, the clothes hang colour coded making it easy to find a bargain without having to troll through endless rails.

Saturday was quite a cold day to begin with so I took my new hat on a road trip. Outfit goes a little something like this:

Hat: Australian Red Cross
Cape: Karen Millen
Dress: To the Max
Socks: Sportsgirl
Shoes: Nine West
