Just celebrating getting out the door

Trousers: recent op shop purchase (Italian samples)
Melissa Peace Wedges: present from my beloved
earrings: Limedrop

ring : Limedrop wooden bangles: Gifted

It's Tuesday and today I've actually managed to run a brush through my hair and put on an outfit. It's a beautiful Spring day here is Melbourne, no better time to embrace colour.
I'm still very much nursing a wound and a new born and with that comes a change in wardrobe. My plethora of dresses are no longer practical as I breast feed my little one and yes I still have a bump (sorry to break it to you but like the celebrity culture who endorse it, your bump does not magically disappear and your rocking about in evening gown at the first sniff of an engagement). In the real world, it will be several months before my figure snaps back into shape and I'm absolutely ok with that. I came across these silk trousers from my local op shop, brand new for the bargain price of $15 and the top I've had for forever.
I do not have a personal trainer but I will get back to fitness in my own time.
Until then, I'm just celebrating getting out the door and enjoying the sunshine with my little bundle.

She's like a rainbow

Lurking in the back of my wardrobe was this rainbow dress from French Connection, turns out it fits over the bump and may just work for the duration of my pregnancy. Reckon I bought it about 6 years ago, thank god I'm a bit of a hoarder! I like to dress like a colour wheel and have been know to wear 10 colours in one sitting.
Found this on you tube, love the song (always makes me smile) and how cute are these illustrations...enjoy!

Wanna find my inner earth mother with Camilla

Going through a quiet spell at work so thought I would bring you a very quick post via work today. Still no internet, yawn.
It's fashion week here in Melbourne (LMFF) and normally I would be embracing with a few shows and social engagements but find I have little or no free time at the moment with the building of the new nest and all. However, I have been keeping in touch with all the goss through social media and one Melbourne designer has caught my eye.
Camilla Franks, somehow I haven't came across you till now, where have I been? Camilla launched onto the fashion scene seven years ago with her whimsical, goddess like collections. Celebrities far and wide have embraced her and now it's my turn.
I want to run through a meadow, baring a headdress and find my inner earth mother! Love.

I love Poppies | New jumpsuit

You may have a flower that you love, admire; a delicate rose maybe? For me, the flower of the moment would have to be the poppy. Vibrant, pretty, oh the colour! The other day, I came across this jumpsuit from Peter Alexander on sale, the fabric and colour grabbed me instantly, I'm wearing this one out for sure, too pretty for bedtime!
Have a great weekend dear readers, till next week.

Daily outfit and colour picks around Melbourne

I'm forever looking for colour inspiration, these photos were taken on a recent jaunt around Carlton in Melbourne. Lurking around a corner, furniture, a blue door; such a plethora of pretty and beautiful things. I'm influenced by my surroundings and compelled to document everything I find inspiring, which can lead to one very full photo library!
Having a creative head can get very cluttered but living in Melbourne it's almost impossible to walk down the street and not come across something fabulous. Just the way I like it.

Outfit:
shorts: Mink Pink
tights: Leona Edminston
boots: ASOS
