I haven't posted Sleekit presents for a while, been way too busy indulging in myself. Living in Elwood I am lucky enough to have many great little fabulous shops on my doorstep. Truffle Tree stocks many local and international labels for children's wear, bit pricey but look out for their sales, I normally stalk what I want and then wait for the sale. Bella Inspirations stocks a plethora of gifts; accessories, perfumes, candles and the Bag Butler (cool device that takes the weight of your bag while you dine to avoid having to put on the restaurant grubby floor), these have been around for a while but the people I have bought them for love them.

The last pic is a sneak peek at what's to come next week on Sleekit, I'm vamping up my wardrobe in the name of Avant Garde.

Cocktails and BAMA LAMA

So to the final chapter in what was the celebration of my 35th year. Cocktails at chez Sleekit, working the fringe dress that I had purchased a few weeks ago then into the city to Bama Lama at The Order of Melbourne, (50s swing, burlesque, dancin, grindin, soul and dress ups). Loving this gorgeous happy hour box and adoring this fabulous Kinki Gerlinki beaded clutch, given to me from my wonderful friends and partners in crime. The fringe dress looked fabulous but was a wee bit of a hazard as I kept catching onto unsuspecting jivers but what a great way to meet new people.

Birthday Goodness

I've had a busy week celebrating my birthday. Was delighted to receive a Tiffany Box from my beloved (Frank Gehry ring) and took myself shopping for some birthday shoes. Out to dinner and a chance to take out my favorite LBD (bought for 25 quid 13 years ago from Karen Millen in Glasgow), teamed with Sportsgirl belt and of course my favorite Mimco box. All in all the girl did good and I'm heading out this weekend just to get the full nine yards out of my special day. Time to put the fringe dress for a road test, stay tuned...

I love shopping for myself but also love to shop for other people. Having a large family and an ample group of friends not many weeks go by when I'm not shopping for presents. I found these felt smiler slippers on Lygon St, Melbourne.

If these don't make you smile you should check for a pulse!

Midweek I also ventured to Chadstone and tried on the Siren shoes from a previous post. What appeared fabulous in my head didn't quite cut it in reality, frankly my little legs just couldn't pull off those dazzlers, they were too high even for moi so back in the box they go.
