I like a $29 bargain

dress: Konstantina Mittas for Sportsgirl
leggings: Johnathan Aston
Sandals: RPM
bag: Topshop
shades: Le Specs

Everyone loves a bargain, right? If you have been following Sleekit for some time you will be aware of my canny knack to pick up a bargain. Take this Konstantina Mittas dress for instance, I purchased from a Sportsgirl sale, $250 odds marked down to $29! I admired it at full price but knew that sometime soon it would reduce; I will stalk a desired item for month's until it reaches my budget.
The other day, I stumbled upon these soft suede, leather sole sandals for the bargain price of $29, reduced from $305! Loving the fringes and the silver heel detail and they are so comfortable. How pissed would you be if you bought them full price!
But remember, a bargain is only a bargain if you can wear or make use of it, items that sit in your wardrobe are best left on the shelf!

Wee black mini skirt

top: Genki
skirt: ASOS
bag: Top Shop
shoes: Melissa
cloud necklace: Gifted
belt: Sportsgirl
hair clip: Swarovski
sunnies: Le Specs

Starting the week off with a simple outfit, wee black mini and stripy tee; too easy. The skirt I bought on sale from ASOS ($10 I think) but to my dismay it was three sizes too big; however, I like to wear it with a belt, paper bag style. My stripy Genki tee I wear to death, it goes with everything. To give this outfit some of my personal style, I've added: Melissa shoes with the gold heel to compliment the stud gold belt, Swarovski crystal apple hair clip, of course, the black and white doctors bag that rarely leaves my side and the larger than life Le Spec sunnies, oh and some Russian Red Mac lippie.
So there you have it, a very simple outfit with just a few Sleekit touches.

The joy of fitting into a pair a trousers you bought when you were 20!

 trousers: Diesel
top: Country Road
cloud necklace: Gift
Long necklace: off 5th Ave, New York
shoes: Top Shop, New York
Bag: Muji
ring: another gift from my beloved
gold band: Tiffany (another gift from my beloved)
yes, I do well!

These Diesel trousers have been in my wardrobe for 18 years! I used to wear them clubbing with a crop top and a pair of high heels; yes I am retro! It's fair to say, I've not managed to get these past my ass until now so I'm feeling pretty chuffed, especially given christmas and all its goodness was not that long ago.
Do you like my wee cloud necklace? A Christmas pressie from my beloved which makes me smile every time a wear it, soo cute! The long necklace I bought for $5, from a stall off 5th Ave in New York last year; just getting round to wearing it but then again it could have been 18 years, with me you just never know!

I'm looking forward to 2013, are you?

Happy New Year outfit

Love when your beverage matches yer outfit

My mum doing Gangnam Style, my brother looks well on his way in the background, pppsss
Well here we are, 2013, can you believe it? Happy New Year to you all! As mentioned in my previous post, I spent Hogmanay with my family, true to form there was dancin, shortbread and Auld Lang Syne; so much fun. Of course, I went completely over the top with my outfit, well twas New Year!
I picked up this neon net overlay on sale from Cue, over an old Kookai dress, voila, brand new outfit. Also, bought some new heated rollers and gave myself a new do, the family approved.
2013, will bring lots of change in my world. In Feb, we will be moving house to be closer to this lot, it's time for me to settle down, be a grown up and find my roots; I'm excited! Will my fashion change when I move to the burbs, only time will tell.
