Better late than never! Finally, getting round to my outfits of 2012. This is why I love blogging: you get to see yourself evolve, shrink, make mistakes, make triumphs, wear the same pair of orange tights in a thousand guises and reminisce the year gone by.

As mentioned in my previous post, proceedings are in place for the sale of our much loved Art Deco apartment, reluctantly we will leave but it's time to grow up and get a house. For the last few days, I've been up to my eyes in cleaning products and de-cluttering as we prepare to open house for viewing. The irony is, this is the best our apartment has every looked! So here's a sneak peek into the world of chez Sleekit, a beloved little home that I will miss but looking forward to a new chapter, wherever it may take us...

Spring is in the air and I'm welcoming the change with open arms! The high street is full of bright, vibrant hues, perfect for my wardrobe. The other day, I came across this top, I had to buy it; it made me smile. When I got home, was delighted to find it matched perfectly with my new shades, love when that happens.

With Spring on the horizon, brings change to my life. After nearly 10 years of living in an inner city Melbourne suburb, we are moving to set up a family home in the burbs. I'm excited and apprehensive at the same time but the need for more space and a bigger back yard is pulling me in. My head is full of ideas and aspirations, it's a good feeling. Hope to take you on my journey...

Orange and silk and the weekend

Yep, some more orange for you! I'm loving my new faux fur and playing around with it, wearing it wrapped around, inside out, it's such a versatile little number. Last weekend I was sick with the lurgy so this weekend I'm looking forward to: a movie - going to see the new pixar movie 'Brave' with my little boy, PT - I work out with my friends every Sat morning (it's more fun than exercise), brekkie - checking out a new Melbourne cafe for some morning nosh, sitting on the couch - catching up on Boardwalk Empire season 2 (so good), spending time with my family. What are you up to this weekend?

New Sportsgirl orange faux fur

Did you have a good weekend, yes? Good, I did too. There's a little trend going on with me at the mo, I'm grabbing anything orange or mustard, my winter palette. My latest steal would have to be this orange faux fur from Sportsgirl, bought on sale for $29.99 (in case your wondering, I'm not on the payroll, I simply just love to shop there). I first spotted it a month or so ago and stalked it till it went on sale, the pieces I like always do, ie the brightly colored, in your face kinda treasures. 

Pictured here, I've wrapped it around as apposed to the usual way in the last pic, more cosy and it shows off my previously purchased Sportsgirl chrome belt. The Chelsea boots bought on sale from ASOS have been on rotation, so comfy, give me height and go with practically everything. I've been good to myself lately, don't you think?

Orange is a colour I would like to rock this Autumn, such a cheery hue, don't you think? My new tights go perfectly with the shorts, I will definitely not get run over in this outfit! The kimono style jacket I bought in New York last October, but up until now has lay dormant in my wardrobe. Autumn is here and I'm loving it, perfect sunny days for sunny outfits, hope you like.
