Autumn and op shop finds

It's Autumn in Melbourne, my favourite season. The sun still shines but it can get a wee bit chilly, especially in the mornings. Recently, I had thought about investing in a new winter coat, it's been 4 n bit years since I bought my last. With a protruding belly, your options can be limited so probably best for me to wait until next year.
However, the other day I found myself at an Op Shop in Seaford, came across this (looks like it's never been worn) Australian brand Marcs trench coat. I snapped it up with the $20 price tag, wow, what a find! Upon paying for my fabulous purchase, I spotted a pair of cream leather gloves nestled in the glass cabinet case at the counter, $10!
No need for a new winter coat, I'm sorted for the bargain price of $30.

Bargain accessory finds

Accessories make up a large chunk of my wardrobe, I'm always on the look-out for statement pieces. For bargain accessories, it has to be Sportsgirl. This necklace and earrings set cost me a combined total of $5.50! Love the necklace, it looks so much more and perfect to update my autumnal closet.
I also treated myself to some new specs, after losing my old pair in the move. Picked up these two pairs from Specsavers for $149, bargain and they will go with any outfit in my wardrobe.
My wardrobe will get smaller as I get bigger and accessories will help to create many different looks.

My ASOS maternity goodies arrived

There is nothing more delightful than I parcel arriving in the post, especially if it contains goodness for your closet! As you will see from my previous post, I bought this top and dress online from the ASOS Maternity store. As my bump starts to grow (I'm now 4 months into my pregnancy), thought I'd treat myself to a couple of garments that will see me through the pregnancy and beyond.
Love the spotty top, it will go with so many outfits and the knit dress is super warm and cosy, love the big white anchor detail.
I have no idea where my tripod is, hence the camera shots but to be honest, it's so much fun dressing up in my closet!

First additions to my maternity wardrobe

Love the boldness of this knit dress $60.59
spots and colour, a winning combination $28.70

When I was pregnant with my first child nearly five years ago, I struggled to find any maternity wear that was 1. affordable and 2. not boring. Since then, the market has improved and now I can indulge without breaking the bank. My first port of call was ASOS, they have a fabulous selection of dresses, tops and even underwear. This is what I bought, can't wait till they arrive!
Have a great weekend x

Ps. One of my regular readers is having some problems with my blog loading, if you are having some issues too, please leave a comment below so I can try fix, arrggg hate when blogs go wrong!

Sleekit has a new baby

a few details from my bedroom

we built a new wall to house the walk-in
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter and the bunny was good to you. Easter, a time for new beginnings so they say, well for lady Sleekit, my world is about to change dramatically.
Yes, Sleekit has a new baby, currently nesting in my tummy and due end of September. This will be my second child and we are all very excited with the news and the prospect of a little one running around again.
My blog has been a little neglected of late, moving house, pregnant and nausea have all taken their toll, but now I feel ready to embrace it all.
My other new baby, walk-in-wardrobe, here's a first glimpse, still organising all my treasures, I have a fair few! (my husband has two racks at the end) what can I say, the lady has a lotta dresses. With a little help from my handy man brother-in-law, we reconfigured our bedroom with a new wall and created the biggest wardrobe, I absolutely love it, such a joy to get dressed every morning.
An ever expanding belly will bring many sartorial changes for me. I'm determined not to resort to baggy shapeless, dull maternity clothes and hope to embrace my belly and the best thing in the world, being a mum.
