Mini Cape Challenge 1
mmm will it rain today?
Last week I set myself a challenge: How many outfits can I muster wearing my little red riding hood mini cape. Got me thinking, maybe I could wear it different ways, around the waist perhaps? Worn like this, you can use the hood as a pocket, nifty! I reckon this outfit is fun, do you like my new jumper from Target, cute huh, only $39.
These shots were taken using my new D10 Canon camera, still getting used to it but love the close up shots, well maybe a wee bit too close on my face! Waah, wrinkles!

Casual caplet
Do you have something fabulous in your wardrobe but unsure how to wear it? I had this dilemma with my little red riding cape. The cape was a Christmas pressie from my beloved and way to cute to stay in the wardrobe. Got my thinking of a challenge. Next week I will see how many outfits I can squeeze in wearing this caplet. Today I'm wearing it casual with some khaki trousers and my prize winning shoes from a previous post.
In other news, I have a new Canon D10 camera, woo hoo, looking forward to experimenting with my snaps (the second shot was taken using the new camera).
Have a great weekend and join me next week to see how I go.

Be my Valentine dress
Ah Valentine's Day, love it or loathe it? I'm a little partial to some romance in my life, so yes, I love it. On a recent supposed window shopping trip, I spotted this cute little frock with its heart shaped bodice - perfect for Valentine's Day. Sportsgirl have the best sales, I picked this up for $39.99, who could resist a bargain like that? The bow belt was a birthday gift from my buddy Trace and the bow shoes from my buddy Anthea, they go just perfectly, Thanks ladies.
I'm even starting to love myself a little more after losing some of the weight I piled on over Christmas, been walking lots and staying out of the cookie jar!
Happy Valentine's Day to all my readers and if you don't have that someone special in your life, why not love yourself a little more, and maybe, just maybe something special may happen. Mwah love Sleekit x

Windmill brooch | Outfit post

Did you have a good weekend, yes? Good, me too. Following on, from my previous post where I featured the unique windmill brooch gifted to me by my best buddy Fi; I give you an outfit post. These pics were taken by my work buddy Beth using the bosses camera (it's an expensive Nikon D something or other), we were getting all kinds of looks as we paraded through the RMIT grounds; student folks thinking Beth was a journo and wondering who the hell I was! It was fun, the quality is so much better than my usual happy snaps, now wish I had a Nikon D something or other!

Windmill brooch | Dazed Dorothy
A few more gorgeous pieces from source Dazed Dorothy
Early in January, a wee surprise arrived in the post for me; all the way from Glesga. My BFF Fi is always sending me the cutest gifts, you can check out some more over here. A love of accessories is something we both share and I adore that Fi always sends me great Scottish finds. This windmill brooch is just stunning, gorgeous vintage button, all the way from Dunoon, Scotland.
The brooch is by a Glaswegian Textile Designer Corinne Robinson aka Dazed Dorothy. Dazed Dorothy is a collection of one off pieces, using leathers, fabrics, vintage buttons, embellishments and trimmings, sourced from all over the world. Check out her Etsy site over here.
