Lunch at Grigons and Orr Corner Store

Love a bit of nostalgia, whether it be music, tv shows or the lolly bags I used to spend my pocket money on. The other day, I took a trip down memory lane and visited Grigons & Orr Corner Store in North Melbourne for a spot of lunch. It's kitted out like an old school shop with all the good stuff: jelly, spiders and a massive selection of sweets; I sampled their vegetarian baguette, delicious! I'm always on the lookout for kid friendly cafe's and my little Mani would absolutely love this place.
In the fashion stakes, I've also got the orange shoes back out, been a while since I popped them on but they go fabulously with my $5 cashmere scarf purchased from my recent New York trip.
It's a long weekend here in Melbourne, looking forward to kicking back and enjoying the sunshine and my lolly bag, hope you have a good weekend too.

Black and white with leopard spots

It's not every day that I find myself dressing like a colour chart, today I've opted for black and white. Sometimes you gotta mix it up! For lunch, I ventured to the cute French Deli on Lygon St, La Parisienne Pates for a tasty brie and lettuce baguette. I always feel a wee bit French when I wear stripes, don't you?

Ps I know, the bag again but so perfect for this outfit! Ooh la la

All Glittery - Wittner heel steal

If you have been following my blog for some time you will be aware that I love to blag a bargain. One of my greatest bargains would have to be THIS DRESS! Many a fashion newsletter inhabits my inbox but rarely does an email stop me in my tracks to reach for the credit card. On Thursday morning, the Wittner heel steal did just that. You will see to your right that I featured these sparkly gems in my wish list but with a $169.99 price tag (I never buy full price), they were a wee bit pricey. Take 75% off and you have my attention, I purchased for the bargain price of $39.95!!! Check out the Wittner website for more steals.

Ps I am letting you know about this, not because Wittner endorsed me but simply, I love to share a bargain!

Autumnal look

Autumn my favourite season of the Melbourne calendar. Tights make a comeback - I'm so much happier with my legs covered in all colours of the rainbow. These tights, I bought from Fat last year and they are still in great condition, when I wear them people smile or take a second look. I like to provoke comment on the street, especially old ladies who give you the agreeable nod or the tween who sniggers with her friend while they walk side by side in matching outfits; either way, it's what makes me tick.
Sick of my doctor's bag yet? When I love an accessory, I find it virtually impossible to put down; it just goes with every outfit in my closet. Note to self: Next week give the bag a rest!
Until next week folks, have a great weekend

Dear readers, I am having a few technical issues with the pics showing up on the blog, can you see me? If you can't please let me know which device you are viewing on, phone, laptop, browser etc.
After a weekend of sticky uncomfortable heat, Melbourne has been blessed with some rain and a comfortable 20 degree temperature, time to get my favourite trench out.

It's been a hot weekend in Melbourne, sweltering, the last weekend of the summer, but I have to say I'm looking forward to the sunny but cooler days that Autumn brings; my favourite season.
I purchased these Mollini purple shoes from the op shop recently for $8 and have been itching to wear them. The orange socks were a pressie from my beloved and tis their first little outing, the contrasting colour work really well, I think. My dress is a few seasons old, purchased just after I had my little boy in a bid to get me out of maternity wear! As we say goodbye to another Summer here in Melbourne, I give you one very summery outfit, taken on one very hot summery day.
